Alicia Yin, Ph.D.

Alicia Yin is currently Executive Director at 6 Dimensions Capital. Previously, as a PhD student in Dr. Steve Artandi’s lab in the Cancer Biology Program at Stanford Medical School, Alicia identified a novel transcription factor that regulates telomerase reactivation in human cancers that contributes to cancer immortality. After graduation, she spent time on the business development team at Varian Medical Systems, a public medical device company focusing on cancer radiation therapy based in Palo Alto, before relocating to New York City as a biotech equity research analyst at HC Wainwright LLC, covering more than 40 small-to-mid cap biotech companies developing novel therapies for challenging diseases. From there, Alicia joined 6 Dimensions Capital’s Palo Alto office in 2020, focusing on venture investment and newco creation in the biotech space.
