Qasim Ali Butt, M.D.

Dr. Qasim Butt is a highly skilled and well rounded physician that is seeking to work with innovative companies. He has a long 11 year career of both clinical nephrology and interventional nephrology able to handle all issues related to dialysis access (fistulas, graft, catheters, etc.).


He has recently completed the MIT course in Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare and currently has several advisory roles in medical technology and digital health start ups. His involvement in start ups has sparked an interest in health care innovation.


Dr. Butt has gone above and beyond his clinical responsibilities, as a physician leader serving the community. He has had numerous leadership roles, including previous Chief of Medicine of Metropolitan Methodist Hospital and previous Treasurer of Board at the Texas Kidney Foundation. Very importantly, he is highly versed in value based medicine in kidney care and have presented about Medicare's new Kidney Care models at two separate conferences hosted by UT Health San Antonio.
