Ling Loerchner, ICD.D.

Mrs. Ling Loerchner is an experienced startup mentor, board member and business advisor. She has over 20+ years experience in both industry and academia in Silicon Valley California and Canada with deep connection in the startup ecosystem. When she worked at the University of Waterloo, as the Chief Commercialization Officer & Global Managing Director, she was responsible for the IP management, commercialization, international collaboration, innovation management, and entrepreneurship. She is also responsible to create spin-off companies from UW IP portfolio, and helped the spin-off companies seeking for venture capital and angel investment. She is trained Corporate Director and obtained the certificate of ICD.D from University of Toronto Rotman Management School and Institute of Corporate Director (ICD). She has been served as board member on several spin-off companies, provide guidance for corporate board governance and global market expansion. She served as the senior advisor for the City of Waterloo Mayor office.

Mrs. Loerchner received VC University Certificate iissued by NVCA and UC Berkeley Law School. She has a BEng degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University, an MSc degree from University of Waterloo and an MBA from Laurier University, and a PMP certificate from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
